As Administrative Assistant for Benchmark Construction, Inc., I am very proud to be a part of the number one design build construction company in Idaho. I love "manning" the front desk. I try to develop a good relationship with the project owners, Subcontractors and suppliers since I am the first person people talk to when they call or come through our door. Calling someone by name or recognizing their voice on the phone makes them feel welcome and important.

Besides my general office duties and assisting accounting with processing subcontractor billings, I handle some of the smaller details for the construction managers. For instance, I track contracts and insurance certificates to make sure they are in place before the subcontractor is on the jobsite. This helps to prevent unnecessary delays in construction.

From circulating plans for project bidding to collecting warranty letters and information when a project is complete, I am part of a team in the design/build construction process. I handle the administrative details of construction so that the construction managers can do what they do best - build beautiful commercial buildings.

Duties:

  • Assist in Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Process Subcontractor Payment Applications
  • Circulate Plans for Project Bidding
  • Track and process Contract Packages
  • Make sure insurance coverage is current for all jobs
  • Make Job Binders for each job
  • Log Submittals
  • Make Warranty, Operation & Maintenance Manuals for each completed job
  • Perform general office duties
