Benchmark Construction, Inc. and I are a perfect match. Both are Idaho natives born and raised in the Treasure Valley. Both have been involved with a wide variety of facilities from large multi-million dollar projects to small tenant improvements. As a teenager I started in the construction industry working summers as a laborer. By the time I graduated high school, I was working as a carpenter. A true carpenter, which means I could complete whatever task was asked of me, pour concrete, set steel, frame walls, finish work, flooring, & anything in-between. You don't find much of that today; someone says they're a carpenter and chances are they can only do one thing. I have also worked in the mechanical and electrical fields as well. With this diverse experience and knowledge as the years rolled forward, I was able to work my way up the ladder to foreman, superintendent, and then project manager.
At Benchmark Construction, Inc. we believe in the team approach, as such we have construction managers as part of our team. The reason we go by this title is that we oversee all aspects of construction from dreams to design, budgets to estimating of final cost, marketing to project management and all that is in-between. As Idaho's number one design/build firm, one-stop shop, with our team approach, my job as a construction manager is to help our clients bring their dreams to reality. This is completed by providing suitable design, meeting their budget, meeting the required schedule, providing quality work, and completing the project safely. After construction is complete it's important to make sure the facility continues to function for the client.
