The Design-Build Process Explained

At first glance, the design-build method may not look too different from design-bid-build. Our method starts off similar to the traditional method of construction by completing the preliminary drawings. This however is where things begin to divulge from the traditional process of design-bid-build.

At this point in the process, you are informed of the cost of the project. Unlike the traditional method where you do not get a bid until after directly before the construction process begins. This is a more efficient method of the building process, and we feel that keeping you as informed as possible is the best way to complete a project; after all, this is all for you.

We then begin the stage of construction where we create detailed drawings and blueprints of the building about to be constructed. We start construction soon after this, before the second part of the process is completed. This way we are able to get some of the preliminary work out of the way so by the time the detailed drawings are complete, we will have a head start on the construction process. This saves you both time and money.

Our process allows for more time for value engineering, which means a higher quality product. You know what you are spending at all times, instead of waiting until right before the construction process begins. The process is also streamlined because you are dealing with just us, as opposed to both an architect and construction company, which means less hassle for you.

The design-build process is a cheaper, quicker alternative to the traditional design-bid-build process, and we think that it is the right answer for you. Contact us today for more information on the process and how it can benefit your next construction project!
